Details of the Job/Internship

Infosys is hiring a Legal Counsel with 4–8 years of experience to join their offices in Mumbai or Bangalore.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist in protecting the company’s legal interests and ensuring operations comply with applicable laws.
• Analyse legal issues and commercial risks and present clear recommendations.
• Draft commercial agreements such as Master Service Agreements, Alliance Agreements, License Agreements and other IT-related contracts.
• Review proposals, assist in preparing proposals, and support responses to tenders and RFPs.
• Participate in negotiations with customers and vendors while ensuring adherence to internal contracting and risk mitigation requirements.
• Provide legal advisory support on general corporate compliance.
• Track relevant laws and regulations impacting the company’s business and policies.
• Provide legal advice to executive-level staff.

Eligibility

• BA (LLB) or Master’s in Law from a reputed law school.
• 4–8 years of relevant legal experience.
• Basic knowledge of key legal practice areas including contracts and IP, with strong drafting skills.
• Understanding of market trends and domain-specific practices.
• Strong legal research skills, including information gathering and analysis.
• Basic understanding of macro-economic trends and financial policies affecting the business.
• Exposure to IT industry legal matters is an added advantage.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Team player with good organisational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to analyse and apply logical reasoning.
• Commitment to continuous learning and innovation.

Salary/Stipend
