Details of the Job/Internship
Infosys is hiring a Legal Counsel (Whistleblower Team) with 4–7 years of experience to join its office in Bengaluru. The role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the Whistleblower program and overseeing ethics investigations to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws. The position requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external investigators while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Role and Responsibilities
- Managing incoming whistleblower reports through various channels, including hotline, email, and online platforms.
- Conducting initial assessments of reported issues and determining investigation strategies.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders for information gathering and process understanding.
- Engaging external investigators where required.
- Communicating with whistleblowers while maintaining confidentiality and providing status updates on investigations.
- Planning and coordinating investigations, including evidence gathering and witness interviews.
- Conducting objective investigations to identify and remediate violations of the Code of Conduct and policies.
- Documenting findings, preparing investigation reports, and presenting recommendations to senior management.
- Following up on corrective actions and recommendations.
- Developing and maintaining the Whistleblower policy in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conducting training and awareness programs on ethical conduct and whistleblower policies.
- Staying updated on best practices in whistleblower program management and ethics investigations.
Eligibility
- 4–7 years of experience in corporate investigations.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including strong written communication abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in sensitive matters.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders and building trust.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
