Details of the Job/Internship

21K School is hiring a Legal Counsel with 2–5 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate diverse commercial agreements, including SaaS, technology, and partnership contracts.
• Identify contractual risks and recommend practical mitigation strategies to protect the organisation’s interests.
• Improve and maintain standard legal documentation frameworks and contract templates.
• Provide legal guidance on labour laws, employment contracts, and internal policies.
• Conduct specialized legal research on regulations impacting global EdTech and business operations.
• Manage the company’s intellectual property portfolio, including trademark filings and renewals.
• Coordinate with statutory authorities for filings, registrations, and regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with external legal advisors for specialized matters and oversee the stamping and execution of documents.

Eligibility

• LLB or BA LLB from a recognised university.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in commercial contracts and legal drafting.
• Experience in a law firm or an in-house environment (preferably with startups or tech companies).
• Strong understanding of contract law and employment-related legal matters.
• Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills with a high attention to detail.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting.
• Structured documentation practices and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
