Details of the Job/Internship
AstraZeneca is hiring a Legal Counsel with 10–15 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize commercial and business agreements.
- Manage and provide advice on IP and non-IP litigation, disputes, and investigations.
- Handle external investigations, including those by competition, regulatory, privacy, or tax authorities.
- Work with external counsel and manage litigation costs effectively.
- Conduct legal and compliance training for internal stakeholders.
- Ensure effective document management for the legal department.
- Liaise with government authorities and statutory bodies on legal matters.
- Represent the company before courts and authorities.
- Support trademark activities, agreements, and POAs.
- Proactively analyze case law and regulatory changes, highlighting business impacts.
Eligibility
- LL.B. qualification with 10–15 years of legal experience.
- Experience in MNCs and listed companies preferred.
- Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, IP (patents), and competition laws.
- Experience in litigation and pharmaceutical industry exposure is an advantage.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
