Details of the Job/Internship

Envalior is hiring a Legal Counsel – India with experience of 8–10 years to join their office in Pune.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, procurement, and supply chain contracts for India operations.
• Provide daily legal advisory support to business teams on manufacturing, HR, and operational matters.
• Ensure manufacturing plants comply with environmental, safety, labor, and industrial regulations.
• Manage the India compliance framework, including tracking, reporting, and audit readiness.
• Support corporate governance requirements, board matters, and statutory filings for India entities.
• Oversee pleadings and legal documentation prepared by external counsel for India-based litigation.
• Support global centralized contracting initiatives and manage cross-border agreements in EMEA and other regions.
• Drive digitalization and automation in contract lifecycle management (CLM) using AI-enabled tools.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
• 8–10 years of experience as a commercial transactions attorney in a top-tier law firm or MNC legal department.
• Prior experience in the Automotive or Manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Indian legal frameworks, including labor, factory, and environmental laws.
• Demonstrated ability to propose creative, business-oriented solutions to minimize legal risk.
• Preferred: Company Secretary (CS) qualification or membership of ICSI.
• Experience working in a matrix organization and interacting with global teams.
