Details of the Job/Internship
McDermott International, Ltd is hiring a Legal Counsel – Supply Chain Management with 5–8 years of relevant legal experience to join their team in Gurgaon, Haryana.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel to the global SCM function and collaborate with the Sustainability & Governance team.
- Oversee claims management related to Indian projects.
- Draft, review, and negotiate subcontracts, purchase orders, and vendor agreements.
- Advise project managers on contractual risk mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with legal standards and implement risk-reduction strategies.
- Lead training initiatives and process improvements in vendor contracting.
- Support the Indirect Procurement legal team with corporate agreements (IT, NDAs, procurement, etc.).
Eligibility
- LLB degree from a reputed Indian university.
- 5–8 years of legal experience in the construction, industrial, or energy industry.
- Strong expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and supply chain legal support.
- Familiarity with vendor agreements and prime contract flow-downs.
- Experience in working with global, cross-functional teams.
