Details of the Job/Internship

Siemens Energy is hiring a Legal Counsel with at least 6 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) to join their office in Gurugram. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Contract Management: Draft, negotiate, and review domestic and international contracts, including consortium, pre-bid, supply, and framework agreements.
• Strategic Advisory: Support management and project teams with solution-oriented advice on contract law, competition law, and insolvency.
• Claim Management: Formulate business strategies for managing claims involving customers, consortium partners, and subcontractors.
• Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Strategize and manage all litigation; appoint and coordinate with external counsel across India; represent the company in legal proceedings.
• Regulatory & Compliance: Guide global teams on local and international regulatory issues to ensure full legal compliance.
• Training & Templates: Create standard agreement templates and conduct legal training sessions for business and corporate colleagues.
• Process Improvement: Participate in global task forces to refine internal legal processes and handle special projects.

Eligibility

• Law degree from a reputed Indian or International law college.
• Minimum 6 years PQE with experience in litigation, drafting, and negotiation.
• Preferred Experience: Prior work in contract and claim management, specifically within a law firm or a multinational corporation (MNC).
• Skills: Advanced legal writing in English, problem-solving mindset, and a high level of business orientation.
• Traits: Strong integrity, reliability, and willingness to travel frequently.
