Details of the Job/Internship

Unacademy is hiring a Legal Counsel (AM/Manager) with 4-6 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end litigation, including civil, consumer, arbitration, and criminal cases.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, affidavits, and written statements.
• Coordinate with external counsels and formulate litigation strategies.
• Maintain a litigation management information system (MIS) and provide regular updates to management.
• Act as the primary contact for legal escalations and grievances from both internal and external stakeholders.
• Draft and respond to legal notices and other escalations from learners, educators, partners, and third parties.
• Handle all aspects of property-related documentation, including drafting and negotiating lease deeds and conducting due diligence.
• Ensure legal compliance for all property agreements, including timely registration and stamping.
• Manage disputes with landlords, vendors, or authorities.

Eligibility

• Experience: 4-6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in litigation, real estate, and dispute resolution.
• Education: LL.B. from a recognized university.
• Preferred Background: Experience in the in-house, startup, or EdTech sectors.
• Skills: Strong experience in litigation management, grievance redressal, and real estate due diligence; excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple matters simultaneously.
