Details of the Job/Internship

AbbVie is hiring a Legal Counsel with a minimum of 10 years of experience to support its pharmaceutical business operations in India and the India region, based in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide commercial legal advice in coordination with regional and local legal and business teams.
• Serve as part of the India Affiliate Management Team contributing to strategy and planning.
• Manage legal aspects of pharmaceutical operations in India and Asia.
• Handle risk analysis, legal strategy, and policy compliance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal agreements.
• Resolve disputes and litigation with or without external counsel.
• Develop contract templates, legal tools, and conduct training sessions for internal teams.

Eligibility

• Law degree from a recognized university.
• At least 10 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm and/or multinational corporation.
• In-house experience in a pharmaceutical company preferred.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks and areas such as antitrust, data privacy, compliance, and intellectual property is a plus.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• High ethical standards and ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
