Air India Limited is hiring a Legal Counsel to join their office in Gurugram. The role involves providing comprehensive legal support and guidance to ensure compliance with aviation laws and regulations, protecting organisational interests, managing legal risks, handling regulatory matters, and overseeing corporate transactions and contractual obligations across Commercial, CX, GH, and HR functions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and protect organisational interests.
- Support risk mitigation, manage contract lifecycles, track deadlines, and facilitate effective contract administration.
- Draft and review contracts and agreements including vendor contracts, client agreements, licensing agreements, employment contracts, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Familiarise with aviation laws in India and internationally, including the Aircraft Act, 1934, Aircraft Rules, 1937, and regulations issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
- Advise on legal risks and implications of transactions and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Review legal and financial documents, identify potential risks and liabilities, and provide recommendations.
- Participate in transactional negotiations with external parties such as clients, vendors, and business partners.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned from time to time in coordination with reporting officers and HR.
