Details of the Job/Internship
Air Liquide is looking for candidate for the position of Legal Counsel.
Role and Responsibilities
- Oversee all regulatory and governance matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations in India.
- Support and manage the legal and regulatory topics for India as required and to support the Head of Legal from time to time.
- Drafting, Reviewing, Vetting & Rendering advice and directing on legal issues involving contracts, including documentations in terms of Sale Deeds, MOU, NDAs, Lease and Licensing arrangements.
- Supervises the implementation of Air Liquide's corporate governance in the affiliates and subsidiaries in India
- Supports the Head of Legal on transactional matters including, but not limited to, contract review, projects processes, research, document preparation, and analysis.
- Communications, notice preparation with Advocates & taking feedback regarding the ongoing cases.
- Reviewing and preparing general correspondence, notices, letters etc.
- Providing support to other in house departments on various regulatory compliance and with government authorities.
- Preparing MIS of ongoing Cases and Agreements.
- Assist in review and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.
- Advisory to various business lines / departments of the Company on various legal issues.
- Assist the Reporting Manager in various legal advisory work as may be assigned.
- Must be willing to travel as per business needs.
Eligibility
- Qualified as a lawyer in India with at 03 to 09 years of legal experience(either as in-house counsel or as a lawyer in a law firm);
- Ability to communicate and articulate legal issues effectively with colleagues at all levels and across different jurisdictions;
- Strong drafting and legal analytical skills;
- Ability to prioritize and proactively manage workflow in a multi-jurisdictional transaction environment;
- Ability to timely and appropriately identify risks and escalate issues to relevant stakeholders;
- Ability to manage and control legal risks in a constructive manner.
