Details of the Job/Internship

Aptean India is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel with 5–8 years of experience to join their team in Bangalore. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with APAC privacy and data protection regulations.
• Negotiate privacy terms with customers, vendors, and partners.
• Integrate privacy by design principles in product and business processes.
• Conduct privacy risk assessments and support mitigation strategies.
• Provide training and updates on privacy and data protection regulations.
• Manage data subject rights requests and data incident responses.
• Advise on marketing compliance with e-privacy regulations.
• Support HR with legal advice on employment law and policies.
• Assist with contractor agreement negotiations and compliance.

Eligibility

• Law degree from an Indian jurisdiction.
• 5–8 years post-qualification experience, including at least 5 years in privacy and employment law in an in-house role.
• Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/A) or equivalent.
