Details of the Job/Internship
Aptean is hiring a Legal Counsel with experience of 5–6 years to support its businesses located in the UK and Ireland. The role involves providing legal support and assistance, including analysing, advising on, drafting, and negotiating contractual documentation such as software licence agreements and SaaS agreements, while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and mitigating legal risks.
Role and Responsibilities
- Analyse, summarise, advise on, draft, and negotiate contractual documentation including software licence agreements and SaaS agreements for customers.
- Ensure compliance with Aptean’s corporate policies.
- Negotiate with external parties on contractual issues and legal disputes.
- Anticipate and mitigate potential legal issues within the organisation and develop strategies to reduce risk and avoid litigation.
- Consult with management, commercial advisors, tax experts, accountants, and marketing teams.
Eligibility
- Qualified lawyer.
- 5–6 years of experience working in-house in a software or IT company drafting and negotiating software or IT contracts with customers.
- A combination of law firm and in-house company experience.
