Ather Energy was started in 2013 by Tarun Mehta and Swapnil Jain, two engineering graduates straight out of college with the audacity to dream and challenge the well-established Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and replace it with an electric drive. They built India’s first smart and connected electric scooters, the Ather 450 product line because we believe that's where the future of personal mobility is headed.

Details of the Job/Internship

Ather Energy is hiring a Legal Counsel with experience of 4 years to join their office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage organisation wide compliance activities including monitoring and tracking compliance with applicable laws and regulations, company policies, guidelines etc.
• Assess compliance requirements of each function including Manufacturing, Operations,Business, Finance, and HR. Develop andvimplement a compliance playbook.
• Sensitize and follow up with all stakeholders to ensure adherence to compliance and implications of non-compliance.
• Compliance risks identification, assessment,evaluation, mitigation and remediation plan across functions, coordinate with and tracktimely compliance by functional compliance champions, periodic audit/review of compliance by various functions.
• Periodic MIS and exception reporting to the Management and the Board.
• Design and develop compliance training modules and conduct training for functional compliance champions and create compliance awareness across functions.
• Keep track of latest developments in applicable laws, regulations and rules, analyse the impact,inform stakeholders to ensure timely compliance with new requirements.
• Provide quality and strategic advice to stakeholders in areas of statutory compliance.
• Be sensitive to rapidly changing work and business priorities and have an adaptable and flexible approach to work to ensure timely,positive, and constructive counselling.
• Travel to locations across the country to be ensure.

Eligibility

• Minimum 4 years of relevant post-qualification experience in reputed organizations.
• Law Degree from a premier institution with core experience in Compliance domain.
• Command over Excel and experience with Compliance Management Tools.
• Understanding of contract drafting and review.

Salary/Stipend
