Details of the Job/Internship

Barclays is hiring a Commercial and Technology Lawyer to join its Global Commercial, Innovation and Technology (CIT) Legal team with post-qualification experience to support technology and commercial legal matters in Pune.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on commercial, innovation, technology, real estate, data licensing, and sponsorship matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and legal documents.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on law and policy developments.
• Represent Barclays in regulatory investigations or proceedings.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Technology, and business teams.
• Develop and deliver legal and compliance training.
• Contribute to governance, policy development, and risk mitigation.
• Support strategic initiatives and provide decision-making input.

Eligibility

• Qualified lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister, or equivalent in India).
• Post-qualification experience in commercial/technology legal practice (in-house or private).
• Strong command of English (spoken and written).
• Experience with software licenses, SaaS/cloud services, data licensing, sponsorship, and professional services contracts.
• Experience in the financial services sector is a plus.

Salary/Stipend
