Details of the Job/Internship

Basata is looking for a candidate for the position of Legal Counsel with 3 to 5 years of experience to work with them.

Role and Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and manage a wide range of contracts, agreements, and legal documents related to company operations and partnerships.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to business teams on day-to-day operations, contract interpretation, and compliance matters.
• Lead and support contract negotiations with vendors, partners, and service providers to ensure favorable and compliant terms.
• Ensure all legal documents and agreements comply with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Identify legal risks and proactively recommend mitigation actions to support business objectives.
• Maintain accurate and well-organized legal records, ensuring timely renewals, amendments, and updates.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and ongoing business needs.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• 3–5 years of experience in legal operations, contract management, or a similar role, preferably within fintech or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, compliance, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Salary/Stipend
