Details of the Job/Internship

BEENEXT is hiring a Legal Counsel with experience of 3 to 4 years to join their office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

Drafting and negotiations

• Draft first cuts of term sheets and transaction documents;
• Be actively involved in all aspects of the negotiations around the legal and commercial contours of the investments and divestments. 

Due Diligence:

• Undertake legal risk assessment in investments;
• Identify and liaise with suitable vendors to conduct financial and legal due diligence on prospective investee companies.

Portfolio Management:

• Support the ongoing management and monitoring of the existing portfolio including various corporate and secretarial compliances;
• Support portfolio companies by being the sounding board for prospective business ideas and helping them identify specialized counsels to be able to take such ideas to fruition.

Internal compliances and stakeholder management:

• Engage in strategic legal planning to support firm objectives;
• Be the go-to point for all stakeholders within the BEENEXT team for all things legal.

Eligibility

• B.A., LL.B. (or equivalent) from a reputable institution
• 3-4 years of experience in the PE/VC sector with a healthy mix of representing both Companies and Investors.
• Strong verbal and negotiation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Passion for technology, innovation, and the start-up ecosystem.

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
