BNB Chain Innovation is building blockchain infrastructure on the BNB Chain, giving the BNB Chain community tools for developers and enterprise solutions. BNB Chain is a community-driven, decentralized and censorship-resistant blockchain, powered by BNB. It is composed of BNB Smart Chain (BSC): A secure DeFi hub with the lowest gas fees of any EVM-compatible L1 and serves as the ecosystem’s governance chain; opBNB: A scalability L2 that delivers some of the lowest gas fees of any L2 and rapid processing speeds; BNB Greenfield: Meets decentralized storage needs for the ecosystem and lets users establish their data marketplaces.

Details of the Job/Internship

BNB Chain Innovation is hiring a Legal Counsel to join their office Online.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate contracts for various business lines, providing risk assessments and suggestions to enhance business value while mitigating downsides.
• Support business teams with the launch and development of new products and services, balancing commercial and regulatory considerations.
• Identify legal issues and provide strategic assistance to various teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support a broad range of transactional matters.
• Advise on and implement solutions for issues, taking prudent risks within the business context.
• Stay current on relevant laws to provide proactive, business-focused advice and counsel.
• Prepare all legal entity documentation, corporate filings, and maintain legal entity databases.
• Engage with local vendors to ensure compliance with local regulations, including maintaining a registered office and registered agent, and keeping accurate and up-to-date corporate records and documentation.
• Assist in Board and Shareholder Meetings.
• Respond to inquiries and document production requests from internal and external parties, including regulators.
• Assist with regulatory filings.

Eligibility

• Previous experience as an in-house counsel or lawyer.
• Ability to work autonomously and reliably within tight timeframes in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
• Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills to effectively work across various projects and global teams in different time zones.
• Proficient understanding of commercial legal work with extensive experience in drafting and negotiating agreements.
• Initiative to identify and solve problems in a business-friendly and solution-oriented manner.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Strategic, commercial, and practical thinking abilities.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Experience with Crypto, Financial, or Payment Institutions, or in a reputable law firm, is a plus.
