Details of the Job/Internship

BT Group is hiring for the position of Legal Counsel to join their office in Delhi.

Role and Responsibilities

• Organises legal tenders, bids, and procurements of products and services.
•  Provides critical knowledge regarding the latest industry developments, through regular collaboration and partnerships with internal subject matter experts to better understand and be able to advise holistically on products and relevant regulatory, litigation, compliance, privacy, and antitrust issues.
•  Executes day-to-day legal activity such as defining processes and procedures for commercial contracts and implementing best practices under the guidance of the General Counsel and Company Secretary.
•  Assist other lawyers with executing structure, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex customer agreements, including identifying legal and business risks and recommending solutions.
•  Mentors other Commercial Law professionals, helping to improve the team's abilities by acting as a technical resource.
•  Champions continuously develop, and share with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in Commercial Law.
• Supports partnerships with senior commercial leadership supporting the commercial law director's legal advice contributions into long-range strategy.
• Collaborates with legal peers in the execution of impactful counsel concerning a broad range of global legal issues.
• Contributes to both legal as well as commercial outcomes on matters relating to commercial and technology law and related business operations.

Eligibility

• They are seeking a candidate with expertise in storytelling, documentation drafting, and case management, possessing strong skills in risk management and legal research.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in negotiation, commercial law, and commercial acumen, along with proficiency in legal due diligence, legal analysis, and legal advisory.
• They will excel in business partnering and consulting, commercial litigation, and company secretarial administration. Strong decision-making abilities, a growth mindset, and inclusive leadership are essential. Additionally, experience in contract management is required.
