Details of the Job/Internship
CarWale is hiring a Legal Counsel with 3+ years of experience to join their in-house legal team. The role involves managing corporate and commercial legal matters, ensuring compliance, handling litigation, and providing strategic legal advice across functions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements, service contracts, and terms & conditions.
- Advise on contract structure and risk mitigation strategies.
- Maintain contract records and manage litigation, arbitration, and police matters with external counsel.
- Implement compliance tools and support corporate, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with external counsel on litigation, arbitration, and enforcement matters.
- Draft and file legal notices, police complaints, representations, and letters.
- Provide routine legal research, analysis, opinions, and advisory support for business operations.
- Advise cross-functional teams (Finance, HR, Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations) on legal and compliance matters.
- Develop and implement compliance policies, conduct training, and perform internal audits.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law from an accredited institution.
- 3+ years of in-house or law firm experience in corporate/commercial law.
- Proven track record in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
