Details of the Job/Internship
Cloud Software Group is hiring a Legal Counsel in Bengaluru with 4-6 years of experience. The candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and external firms to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The candidate will report to General Counsel India and will work under her guidance.
Role and Responsibilities
Contract
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a variety of India and multi-jurisdictional commercial agreements, including vendor, customer, partnership, amendment agreement, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) etc.
- Ensure contracts align with organizational policies and applicable laws.
- Advising and preparing documents for bidding, RFP, RFQ such as MAF letters etc.
Legal Research
- Conducting extensive research on legal issues, arriving at conclusions based on case laws judgements on any issues.
Compliance
- Monitor and ensure adherence to local and international laws, industry regulations, and company policies.
Regulatory Advisory
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Advise on the impact of new legislation on business operations.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities if required.
Corporate Governance
- Assist in entity management and compliance filings.
Strategic Support
- Support the General Counsel India on strategic initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, divestments and joint ventures.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to drive organizational goals.
- Support on any legal matters as and when assigned by General Counsel India.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from reputed university. A Master’s degree (LL.M) is preferred. Certifications in Corporate law , M&A preferred.
- [4-6] years of relevant legal experience in corporate law, M&A, commercial law, contracts, Data Protection, GDPR, Privacy issues. Experience in an MNC or law firm is a plus.
- Preferred experience in IT/ITES sector.
- Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ready and willing to travel for work purposes if required.
Salary/Stipend
