Details of the Job/Internship

Course5i is hiring Legal Counsel with the experience of 1 to 3 Years to join their office in Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Drafting, negotiating, preparing, vetting, and reviewing terms of various complex business, non-commercial and commercial contracts, including but not limited to software licenses agreements, NDAs, data processing agreements, research collaborations, specific study agreements, service agreements, letters of intent, vendor agreements, employment agreements etc., across multiple jurisdictions.
• Proficient in doing legal research related to Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Intellectual Property Laws and Technology Laws.
• Assisting in Managing the Intellectual Property portfolio of the organisation.
• Managing privacy law related matters across multiple jurisdictions and ensuring compliances of the organisations processes, policies and programs with laws such as Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA, 2023), GDPR, CCPA, etc and other industry best practices.
• Research and drafting for legal and other matters, creating workflows and trackers to improve team processes.
• Contract Life Cycle Management - Creating and Updating Contract Repository/ Abstraction sheet / Master Data for all the contracts across organisation.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's degree in law from a reputed law school. LLM would be additional advantage.
• Work experience of 1-3 years (preferably in legal department of a reputed corporate company and/ or tier one leading law-firm).
• Candidates with AIBE cleared will be preferred.
• Desirable skills/ qualities.
• Excellent legal and business judgment.
• Meticulous and organised, with excellent communication, strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaborative working.
• Driven, focused and passionate to support the business leadership.
• Demonstrable ability to grasp technical legal issues/concepts, be it Indian laws or international laws, guidelines and regulations.
• Excellent research and drafting skills an eye for detail.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications (to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
