Details of the Job/Internship

Deloitte is hiring a Manager / Senior Manager – Legal Counsel with 6–12 years of experience to join their Office of General Counsel team in Bangalore or Gurugram.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead drafting, review and negotiation of complex client and subcontractor contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, change orders and related schedules.
• Provide legal support on data privacy matters, including data protection terms, DPAs and cross-border transfer mechanisms.
• Structure and negotiate reselling, alliance and collaboration agreements ensuring alignment between commercial intent and contractual terms.
• Contribute to deal structuring by aligning contracts with pricing, delivery, operational dependencies and performance requirements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate contracting positions and recommend risk-balanced solutions.
• Collaborate with global contracting teams on deal structuring, flow-down obligations and governance requirements.
• Support development and improvement of templates, playbooks and contracting processes for consistency and efficiency.

Eligibility

• LL.B. from a recognized institution.
• 6–12 years of post-qualification experience in commercial contracting or technology/service agreements.
• Strong experience in drafting and negotiating client-facing and subcontracting agreements, including cross-border transactions.
• Prior experience in outsourcing, managed services or professional services contracting preferred.
• Experience with data privacy contracting, including DPAs, is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, multi-stakeholder environments.
