Details of the Job/Internship

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. is looking for candidate for the position of Legal Counsel.

Role and Responsibilities

• Drafting, negotiating and assisting with execution of contracts and related legal documents including service contracts, distributor contracts, MoU, term sheets etc;
• Negotiating contracts and supporting with the launch and distribution of in-licensed products
• Working closely with the Business Development function for comprehensive legal support in successfully completing M & A, brand/product acquisition, business/asset purchase deals
• Advising on marketing and promotional activities, while being compliant with applicable laws and the Company’s marketing code;
• Providing legal support to the commercial team in implementing strategic goals and resolution of legal queries in day-to-day operations;
• Interacting with key stakeholders, including: Finance, Tax, SCM, Regulatory as well as colleagues in global Legal & Compliance department. 
• Research and interpretation of applicable laws and ideating on creative and legally compliant solutions to business problems;

Eligibility

• A Bachelor’s Law Degree from a reputed national university in India
• 12-14 years’ work experience in corporate law firms and/or reputed corporates with strong practical experience in M & A, Acquisitions and Divestments, PE deals, Business Development projects. Exposure to in-licensing/out-licensing/distribution arrangements etc in the pharma space would be an added advantage. The role is ideal for senior associates at law firms who wish to move in-house for enriching their business knowledge and also for in-house counsels who aspire for an impactful legal career in the pharmaceutical industry
• Digital literacy, familiarity with IP, Data Privacy matters will be a strong advantage

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
