Details of the Job/Internship

Emeritus is hiring a legal counsel with 4+ years of experience to join them remotely. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate Enterprise Business contracts and commercial, marketing and advertising and IT contracts that impact Enterprise Business. 
• Provide legal advice on structuring business transactions and negotiating terms and conditions of contracts. 
• Prepare and update form agreements including collaborating with regional counsel globally as appropriate. 
• Partner with the Privacy Team to provide guidance on privacy laws as they impact the Enterprise Business. 
• Train internal clients with respect to contracting process/practices. · Collaborate with internal subject matter experts about intercompany transactions. 
• Work within an increased volume of activity in business-critical legal matters, on diverse types of transactions in various time zones.

Eligibility

• Proficiency in English is essential. 
• 4+ years of demonstrated legal experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
• Experience as in-house counsel of a global technology or education company in addition to law firm experience preferred. 
• LLB Degree and enrolled as an Advocate on the rolls of the Bar Council of at least one State preferred. 
• Privacy law experience required. 
• Self-motivated, flexible, and efficient working style. 
• Strategic thinking and strong business acumen. 
• Quality-oriented with a focus on detail and the ability to identify and resolve issues independently. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; experience interacting with members of a small team and advising business units globally.

Salary/Stipend
