Details of the Job/Internship
ENGIE India is hiring a Legal Counsel – Renewable Projects with 3+ years of legal or compliance experience to join their office in Pune.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and negotiating legal documents for project development and third-party partnerships.
- Review and mark up project agreements, EPC contracts, and bid submission documents.
- Support financing processes and legal documentation through to financial close.
- Assist in security creation as per financing and related agreements.
- Advise on contracts and legal issues across all project phases.
- Monitor legal trends in construction, infrastructure, and energy laws.
- Manage contracts for operational projects.
- Support company formation and prepare corporate documents including board resolutions and power of attorneys.
- Contribute to document management system implementation.
- Ensure compliance with ENGIE policies and report any legal or ethical violations.
- Promote a compliance culture within the organization.
- Oversee quality, usage, and cost of external legal counsel.
Eligibility
- Legal qualification and/or master’s degree from a recognized university.
- Minimum 3 years of legal or compliance practice, preferably in corporate law.
