Details of the Job/Internship
ENGIE is hiring a Legal Counsel with 5+ years of experience to support greenfield photovoltaic (PV) project development in Pune, India.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting documentation for partnerships and negotiations related to development projects.
- Contribute to bid document preparation, including project agreements and EPC contracts.
- Provide legal support during the financing of projects, ensuring legal documents are completed for financial close.
- Manage contracts for projects under operation.
- Assist in setting up companies and ensuring legal procedures are followed.
- Monitor construction, infrastructure, and electricity law trends relevant to the development of independent power projects.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical standards.
- Control the use and cost of external legal counsel.
Eligibility
- Law degree from a reputable university, with a preference for candidates locally qualified from a prominent Indian law university.
- 5+ years of legal practice experience.
- Large law firm or corporate practice experience preferred.
- Experience in infrastructure development is valued.
Salary/Stipend
