Details of the Job/Internship
Envalior is hiring a Legal Counsel – India with 8–10 years of experience to support India operations and global legal initiatives.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial, procurement, supply chain, services, and operational contracts for India operations.
- Provide day-to-day legal advisory support on commercial transactions, manufacturing operations, HR, and operational matters.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and central laws covering manufacturing, labour, environmental, safety, and corporate regulations.
- Manage and strengthen the India compliance framework, including statutory tracking, reporting, and audit readiness.
- Support corporate governance requirements for India entities, including board matters, statutory filings, policies, and delegations of authority.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external advisors on regulatory approvals, inspections, audits, and government interactions.
- Review and oversee legal documentation, pleadings, and opinions prepared by external counsel for India matters.
- Identify legal and regulatory risks impacting India operations and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Draft, review, and negotiate cross-border and global commercial contracts in alignment with global standards.
- Support centralized contracting initiatives and effective use of contract lifecycle management systems.
- Develop and update global contract templates, clause libraries, and negotiation playbooks.
- Support digitalisation and automation initiatives across global contracting and compliance processes.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
- 8–10 years of experience as a commercial transactions attorney in a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team.
- Strong experience in commercial contracting, cross-border negotiations, and regulatory compliance.
- Prior experience in global or MNC manufacturing organisations is preferred.
- Company Secretary qualification or ICSI membership is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of Indian commercial, labour, environmental, factory, and industrial laws.
- Experience working with global teams in a matrix organisation.
Salary/Stipend
