Details of the Job/Internship
Euronet in Asia is hiring a Legal Counsel – APAC and North America (epay) with 3–5 years of experience to join their hybrid office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate high-value commercial agreements, including distribution, partner, marketplace, licensing, and brand agreements.
- Advise on RBI-regulated payments businesses and ensure compliance with RBI, NPCI, data protection authorities, and applicable SROs.
- Support legal matters across payments and fintech products such as UPI, cards, wallets, BBPS, merchant acquiring, and cross-border transactions.
- Design and implement scalable legal workflows, templates, playbooks, and approval processes.
- Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Sales, and Finance teams, and manage external counsel when required.
Eligibility
- 3–5 years of experience, preferably in payments or fintech, or in a TMT law firm practice.
- India-qualified lawyer; a US degree is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, stakeholder management, and risk-assessment skills.
- Practical, outcome-oriented mindset with the ability to work in fast-paced environments.
- Exposure to regulated payments, US contracting, or card and merchant acquiring agreements is preferred.
