Details of the Job/Internship

Euronet in Asia is hiring for the position of Legal Counsel with 3+ years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

1. Contract Management:

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with financial institutions, fintech companies, and blue-chip technology firms.
• Develop and maintain templates for various agreements, tailoring them for specific regional markets.

2. Risk Management:

• Advise business stakeholders on potential legal risks and liabilities in commercial arrangements and new business initiatives.
• Collaborate with business teams to structure deals that align with legal and commercial objectives.

3. Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay informed of fintech laws and regulations across APAC and provide relevant guidance.
• Assist in creating processes and manuals to ensure legal compliance across all divisions.

4. Knowledge Management:

• Stay updated on legal developments, industry trends, and emerging regulatory requirements.
• Develop training materials and share legal insights to help manage organizational risks effectively.

5. Legal Advisory:

• Provide legal support on employment, real estate, and other corporate matters as needed.
• Simplify complex legal provisions for diverse business teams, ensuring clarity and understanding.

Eligibility

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD), LLB, or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.

Experience:

• 3+ years of attorney-level experience with a reputable law firm or corporate legal department, preferably in the technology or fintech sector.
• Experience in drafting and negotiating contracts in finance, e-commerce, and financial settlements is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of contract law, with exposure to fintech and financial regulations.
• Excellent drafting skills in international business English – clear, concise, and free of unnecessary legalese.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot inconsistencies or errors in legal documents.
