Details of the Job/Internship

Fresenius Medical Care is hiring a Legal Counsel with 8–10 years of post-qualification experience to join their South Asia legal team in Gurugram.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead all legal matters across the South Asia Cluster, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Advise on strategic legal initiatives across MedTech value streams and Care Delivery International.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and external counsel, including regulators.
• Manage litigation, disputes, regulatory investigations, and corporate governance.
• Support M&A, restructuring, and data privacy compliance, acting as Data Privacy Officer.
• Provide legal input for business projects, risk mitigation, and operational policies.
• Implement controls, policies, training, and monitoring systems across the region.
• Contribute to global legal initiatives and cross-jurisdictional collaboration.

Eligibility

• LL.B. degree with at least 10 years PQE, preferably from a leading law firm or MNC legal team.
• Exposure to legal matters in South Asia and healthcare industry preferred.
• Strong contract negotiation, communication, and advisory skills.
• Commercially driven, adaptable, and capable of cross-functional collaboration.
• High level of organisation, strategic thinking, and attention to detail.
• Growth mindset with familiarity in working in matrix organisations and global time zones.
