GE Vernova is hiring a Legal Counsel with 4+ years of legal experience to join their office in Chennai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of high-value contracts, including engineering, supply, long-term service, and operation & maintenance agreements across APAC jurisdictions.
- Partner with sales, commercial operations, sourcing, finance, and project management teams to mitigate risks.
- Support project teams in managing contractual claims and disputes, engaging with external counsel as required under APAC Lead Counsel guidance.
- Collaborate with regulatory and compliance functions to implement compliance programs and training across APAC.
- Conduct legal research, prepare training materials, and support the development of legal standard templates.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in law from an accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in at least one APAC jurisdiction.
- Minimum 4 years of legal experience.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Mandarin, Korean, or other APAC languages is a plus.
