Groww is hiring a Legal Counsel with experience of 6 years to join their office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support on all matters related to Private Equity investments, including fund formation, investment structuring, due diligence, and negotiations.
• Lead and oversee legal aspects of M&A transactions, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents, conducting legal due diligence, and advising on regulatory compliance.
• Stay abreast of developments in corporate regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing our operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, risk management, and compliance, to address legal issues and mitigate risks associated with business operations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements, including investment agreements, shareholder agreements, and partnership agreements.
• Manage stakeholder relationships effectively, providing clear and strategic legal advice to senior management and other internal stakeholders.

Eligibility

• Law degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the bar association.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience practicing law at a reputable law firm, with a focus on Private Equity, M&A, and Corporate Regulations. Experience in fintech or financial services industry preferred.
• Strong understanding of corporate law, securities regulations, and other relevant legal frameworks.
• Proven track record of managing complex legal matters, negotiating agreements, and providing strategic legal advice to senior management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated commitment to professional integrity, ethics, and confidentiality.
