The Trust focuses on closing the last-mile healthcare gap and making quality care accessible and affordable in rural and low-resource settings.

Details of the Job/Internship

HSNFT is hiring a part-time Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal guidance for its growing social enterprise. The role involves building the legal framework to support safe innovation, effective partnerships, and scalable operations across India. The position reports directly to the Trust’s leadership and requires navigating legal issues at the intersection of healthcare, data privacy, and non-profit governance.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate key legal agreements, including Partnership MoUs, Data Sharing Agreements, and vendor contracts.
• Develop and standardize patient-facing legal documents, including consent forms, ensuring compliance with DPDP Act and healthcare regulations.
• Draft internal legal documents such as volunteer agreements and NDAs.
• Provide strategic legal advice on regulatory compliance, risk management, and non-profit governance.
• Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and advise the Trust on policy updates.

Eligibility

• LL.B. degree is mandatory; LL.M. with specialization in Technology, Health, or Corporate Law preferred.
• Registered with the Bar Council of India.
• 3–7+ years of legal experience in data privacy law (DPDP Act, 2023), drafting and negotiating commercial and non-profit agreements, healthcare or health-tech law, and NGO/trust compliance and governance.
• Exceptional legal drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Pragmatic, business-minded approach with ability to provide clear advice to non-legal teams.
• Passion for social impact.
