Details of the Job/Internship

Hitachi Energy is hiring a Junior Lawyer with 2 years of experience to join its Legal and Integrity Department in Bengaluru on a fixed-term contract of 18 months.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist the Regional Head of Legal and Country Heads of Legal in providing legal advice to management.
• Support dispute and litigation matters as directed.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal documentation.
• Assist in reviewing and negotiating contracts, frame agreements, and partnerships.
• Participate in the development and implementation of legal and integrity strategies.
• Support corporate governance initiatives at regional and country levels.
• Assist in implementing the Code of Conduct and integrity training programs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, group directives, and local legal regulations.
• Support due diligence and monitor ongoing integrity requirements.
• Coordinate and manage interactions with external legal service providers.
• Participate in local, regional, and global legal projects.
• Engage in continuous learning through the Legal and Integrity learning program.
• Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety, integrity, and ethical conduct.

Eligibility

• Graduate degree in law.
• Minimum 2 years of professional legal experience.
• Licensed to practice law in India.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• High ethical standards and integrity.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Salary/Stipend
