Details of the Job/Internship
H&M Group is hiring a Legal Counsel – Expansion with at least 5 years of experience to join their office in New Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Negotiate, draft, and review leases, contracts, and other property-related documents.
- Conduct legal due diligence, risk assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with statutory, regulatory, and judicial authorities for approvals and clearances.
- Manage litigation, including notice of breach, dispute prevention, and resolution.
- Set and maintain legal standards, templates, and best practices for expansion projects.
- Collaborate with Lease Managers, the Expansion team, and internal stakeholders to secure favorable outcomes.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes impacting business operations.
Eligibility
- LL.B. or LL.M. from a recognized university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate law, preferably with exposure to corporate, employment, and contract law.
- Strong decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Team player with a collaborative and growth-oriented mindset.
