Details of the Job/Internship

H&M is looking for a candidate with 5 years of experience for the position of Legal Counsel.

Role and Responsibilities

• Ensure due diligence of projects. To act as a gatekeeper to the company’s interests by safeguarding it through robust legal mechanisms – whether transactional structuring, clearances from authorities financial mitigation, etc.
• To deal with various statutory, regulatory, government, and judicial authorities for seeking approvals to mitigate risks.
• Carry out negotiation, finalization, and registration of contracts (including stamp duty), liaising continually with commercial and legal representatives of counterparts.
• Oversee legal defense actions; prevention and management of litigations including the filing of a notice of breach, tracking notifications, etc. 
• To keep the organization updated and in line with relevant regulatory developments.

Eligibility

• A formal education within the Legal curriculum is mandatory, LLB or LLM. , with at least 5 years of working experience in an external law firm or as in-house Legal Counsel with a focus on real estate law.
• Knowledge of other areas such as employment law, company law, and general contract law would be meriting.
• A growth mindset; Open and embrace change with high attention to detail.
• Strong initiative and a problem-solving mindset with an organized and structured way of working.
• Team player who understands collaboration is key to achieving business goals.
