Details of the Job/Internship
IDFC FIRST Bank is hiring a Legal Counsel with 5–10 years of experience to join their Legal Department in Mumbai. The role involves guiding internal stakeholders on risks and mitigants during partnerships and ventures, ensuring the bank’s interests are safeguarded during documentation, execution, and post-execution processes.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and review contracts, including software licences, SaaS, PaaS, on-prem licence agreements, hardware procurement, master service IT agreements, data processing, API integration, Infosec, data centre, UPI, BBPS, FIP/FIU, business correspondent agreements, MoUs, NDAs, and referral agreements.
- Collaborate with compliance, risk, TPRM, procurement, and IT teams on legal matters.
- Update internal policies and procedures for managing contracts.
- Monitor and inform stakeholders on regulatory and judicial changes.
- Coordinate with external advisors for complex issue resolution.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Law from a recognised university.
- 5–10 years of experience.
- Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
- Deep understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong legal research and analytical skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects and deadlines.
- Competency in analysing and interpreting complex IT contracts.
