IDFC FIRST Bank invites applications for the position of Legal Counsel with 5 to 10 years of experience to join them at their office in Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities

Contract Drafting and Review:

• This includes and have expertise in understanding the terminology of software licenses, SaaS agreement, PaaS Agreement, On prem license agreements, Hardware Procurement Agreement, Master Service IT Agreement, Data Processing Agreements, API Integration, Infosec Agreement, Data Centre Agreement, UPI Agreement, BBPS Agreements, FIP/FIU Agreements, Business Correspondent Agreements, Memorandum of Understanding, NDAs. Master Service Agreement, Referral Agreement etc.
  • Proven track record in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contract.
  • Deep understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirement.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent negation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Competency in analysing and interpreting complex IT- contracts.
  • Collaborate with compliance, risk, TPRM, Procurement, IT team on legal issues.
  • Update internal policies and procedures for managing contracts.
  • Monitor and inform on changes addressed by regulators, courts etc.
  • Co-ordinate with external advisors on complex issues resolution.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s /Masters Degree in Law from recognised university.
• 5 - 10 years in total experience.

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
