Details of the Job/Internship
IndiGo is seeking a seasoned legal professional with 12+ years of experience in corporate law to join their Gurgaon office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and review complex commercial contracts and business transactions.
- Advise business teams on legal and regulatory issues, partnerships, acquisitions.
- Evaluate and mitigate transaction risks; facilitate cross-functional alignment.
- Collaborate with external counsel for specialized advice or opinions.
- Develop internal legal processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Monitor legal and regulatory changes relevant to the aviation industry.
- Provide legal support for new business initiatives.
- Assist in policy and process creation for risk mitigation.
Eligibility
- LLB/LLM from a reputed university.
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience (in-house or law firm).
- Expertise in global and domestic commercial contracting.
- Prior experience in digital/IT, procurement, financing and leasing agreements.
- Strong understanding of corporate law, regulatory frameworks, and risk management.
- International legal exposure preferred.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Business-oriented, with high analytical judgment and strategic mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
