Details of the Job/Internship
Infosys is hiring a Legal Counsel with experience of 6+ years to join their office in Bengaluru. The role is part of the Regulatory Governance and Advisory team and involves strengthening the organisation’s enterprise-wide integrity and compliance framework.
Role and Responsibilities
- Oversee regulatory and listing compliance, including statutory records and filings under Indian and U.S. securities laws, insider trading regulations, and disclosure frameworks.
- Interpret and implement SEBI (LODR) Regulations, including materiality assessments and disclosure requirements.
- Support preparation of public disclosures and regulatory submissions, including stock exchange filings and Form 20-F.
- Contribute to ESG governance, including BRSR-aligned disclosures and ESG reporting.
- Drive adoption and governance of technology-enabled compliance tools and systems.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance and regulatory risks.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, auditors, and external counsel.
- Support responses to regulatory queries, inspections, and enforcement proceedings.
- Act as a subject matter expert on listing regulations, insider trading, and ESG compliance.
- Provide guidance to internal teams on regulatory and compliance matters.
Eligibility
- Law graduate with 6+ years of relevant experience in corporate legal and compliance roles.
- Experience in listed company compliance, regulatory reporting, and multi-jurisdictional compliance environments.
- Exposure to technology-enabled legal and compliance processes is preferred.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks for listed entities.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and business judgment skills.
- Experience in policy and procedure development in a multinational environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
