Details of the Job/Internship
Insignia Ventures Partners is hiring a Legal Counsel with experience of 1 to 2 years to work in their office in Singapore.
Role and Responsibilities
- Work closely with the General Counsel, external counsel, and the investment team to structure, review, negotiate, and close investments for primary investments, follow-on investments, and divestments.
- Assist with fund formation and fund maintenance.
- Overseeing and executing compliance matters, including regulatory returns, and responses to queries from regulators and authorities.
- Review and maintain regulatory compliance and risk management policies and practices.
- Advise their portfolio companies in formulating their legal and compliance framework.
- Other ad-hoc legal and compliance-related duties.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in law or other equivalent qualification, ideally with approximately 1-2 years of private practice experience. No prior in-house experience is required.
- Experience in M&A and venture capital is a plus. Candidates with no venture capital experience will also be considered.
- Strong interest in venture capital, keen to work in a lean, fast-paced environment and develop technical and commercial skills.
- Strong communication skills, fluent in written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in Mandarin or Bahasa is a plus.
