Details of the Job/Internship

Johnson & Johnson is hiring a Legal Counsel with experience of 6–10 years to join their office in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel and strategic support to the Medical Devices operation of Johnson & Johnson Private Limited (JJMI).
• Support franchise leaders and work with the country lead counsel on legal strategies for market models and product introductions.
• Address and manage legal risks including preventive actions, training, and communication.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry codes.
• Support business development initiatives including due diligence and transaction documentation.
• Engage and manage outside counsel, including budgeting and guidelines.
• Manage litigation, dispute resolution, and investigations as assigned.
• Provide legal guidance on J&J policies and procedures and develop training as required.
• Collaborate with lawyers across sectors and regions to align local practices with global standards.
• Advise on copy clearance of materials and internet-related activities.

Eligibility

• LL.B. or LL.M. from a reputed university/law school in India.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• 6–10 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience in multi-national corporations, preferably in the healthcare industry, is preferable.
• Broad corporate experience, preferably advising senior leaders, is favorable.

Salary/Stipend
