Joveo is hiring for the position of Legal Counsel with experience of 5+ years to join their Bangalore/Mumbai office. 

Role and Responsibilities

Legal Expertise for Corporate Matters

• Drafting and Negotiating Contracts: Review and draft a wide range of contracts including without limitation vendor agreements, customer agreements, partnership agreements, referral agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and employment agreements. Ensure these contracts comply with regulations and safeguard the company's interests.
• Advisory on Applicable Regulations: Provide counsel on laws and regulations relevant to the company's operations, ensuring compliance and identifying potential legal risks.
• Mitigating Legal Risks: Proactively identify and assess legal risks associated with business decisions and provide strategies to mitigate such risks.

Advisory Role

• Legal Guidance: Advise senior management and business teams on the legal implications of business strategies and decisions.
• Compliance: Ensure that company strategies and operations comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Communication and Collaboration

• Internal Collaboration: Work closely with professionals across various departments to explain legal considerations and implications of financial and business decisions.
• External Counsel: Collaborate with external legal counsel on complex matters, providing strategic guidance tailored to the company's financial objectives.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Regulatory Awareness: Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that affect the company's operations and industry.
• Communication Skills: Clearly communicate complex legal and financial concepts to both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
• Analytical Skills: Analyze financial data and legal documents to identify risks and develop effective strategies.
• Technical Skills: Effectively and efficiently manage all contracts on the CLM tool implemented by the Company.

Eligibility

Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably with substantial in-house experience.
