Details of the Job/Internship

Lincoln Electric is hiring a Legal Counsel with experience of 3 years to join their office in Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice to executives on labor law, partnerships, and corporate finance.
• Collaborate with management to develop efficient legal defense and proactive business strategies.
• Establish and monitor internal governance policies to ensure continuous regulatory compliance.
• Research and evaluate risk factors associated with business decisions and daily operations.
• Draft, review, and solidify contracts and agreements to protect the organization’s legal interests.
• Negotiate with external parties, including regulators, public authorities, and external counsel.
• Provide clear explanations of complex legal language to various departments within the organization.
• Manage multi-stakeholder legal matters and ensure all work is conducted with high responsibility.

Eligibility

• Qualified with a Law Degree (LL.B.).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in practicing law with a focus on Corporate Compliance.
• Proven experience as a Legal Counsel within a professional business environment.
• Deep knowledge of corporate law, procedures, and external corporate influences.
• Preferred: Experience dealing with regulatory bodies such as BIS and Customs.
• Preferred: Familiarity with data privacy regulatory requirements and compliance.
• Strong analytical skills and sound judgment in assessing complex information.
