Details of the Job/Internship
LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) is hiring a Legal Counsel with 2+ years of experience to join their Markets Legal Team in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice across multiple jurisdictions and act as a key contact for the sales team.
- Collaborate with senior lawyers on strategic initiatives and regulatory analysis.
- Draft and negotiate agreements including data licenses, IP licenses, outsourcing and intercompany agreements.
- Maintain and revise contract templates, rule books, and support process automation within the Legal team.
- Work with Compliance to implement internal controls, policies, and procedures ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
Eligibility
- Law degree with qualification to practice.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience at a reputed law firm or in-house legal team.
- Experience in financial regulation desirable.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Excellent planning, analytical, organisational, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions and cultures.
