Details of the Job/Internship
Maximus India is hiring a Legal Counsel with 7–10 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru and provide strategic and operational legal support across employment law, contract management, company secretarial work, and third-party risk management.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on employment-related matters and manage external legal firms.
- Act as the point of contact for employment legal issues and ensure compliance with Indian labor laws.
- Oversee company secretarial support, ensure regulatory compliance, and review secretarial documents.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for vendors, CSR partners, and service providers.
- Conduct legal due diligence and ensure contractual compliance.
- Support global entities with contract review and negotiation.
- Develop global contract review capabilities including playbooks and guidelines.
- Identify and mitigate legal and contractual risks.
- Monitor compliance and advise on legal implications of business decisions.
- Act as a legal advisor to senior management and collaborate with internal teams.
- Manage relationships with external legal firms.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a recognized university; LL.M. preferred.
- 7–10 years of experience in corporate law, employment law, and contract negotiation.
- Experience working in an in-house legal team.
