Details of the Job/Internship

Mondelēz International is hiring a Legal Counsel for its Mumbai Metropolitan Region office. Interested candidates with relevant legal experience are encouraged to apply

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the legal team responsible for corporate functions, including corporate governance, compliance, contracts, and regulatory matters.
• Provide expert legal advice and support to senior management and other departments on corporate legal issues.
• Develop and implement legal strategies to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Review and negotiate complex agreements, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, and other corporate transactions.
• Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and advise on potential impact to the organization.
• Collaborate with external counsel as needed and manage legal budgets effectively.
• Oversee corporate governance matters, including board meetings, minutes, resolutions, and filings.
• Conduct internal investigations and handle legal disputes and litigation when necessary.
• Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to promote best practices and ensure legal compliance across the organization.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the legal team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Eligibility

• Legal experience, ideally in a large matrixed multinational company.
• Strong analytical, strategic vision, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience assessing, advising on risk, advising/coaching and dispute resolution in a multinational company.
• Highest level of integrity and trust; highly credible and willing to express.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Resourcefulness, including relevant new technologies and systems.
• License to practice law in relevant jurisdiction(s).
