Details of the Job/Internship
NextHire is hiring a Legal Counsel (Non-Litigation) with 3+ years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate loan, vendor, SaaS, and partnership agreements.
- Provide legal advisory on digital lending, co-lending, securitization, and debt instruments.
- Ensure compliance with RBI, KYC/AML, and digital lending guidelines.
- Draft internal legal policies, SOPs, and review operational documentation.
- Support regulatory inspections, compliance audits, and data privacy matters.
- Handle non-litigation support, dispute resolution strategies, and risk assessment.
- Liaise with external counsel for litigation follow-ups when required.
Eligibility
- LLB; LLM preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in NBFC, Fintech, or Financial Services.
- Strong understanding of RBI norms, Fintech compliance, and contract law.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with business, compliance, and finance teams.
