Details of the Job/Internship

Nykaa is hiring an Associate Manager – Legal with 6–8 years of experience to join their in-house legal team. The role involves managing civil and criminal litigation, dispute resolution, and intellectual property rights (IPR) both in India and internationally.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage civil and criminal litigation matters, including coordination with external counsels.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents.
• Provide legal advice and support to internal departments on dispute strategy, compliance, and risk management.
• Support external lawyers in cases before courts, tribunals, regulatory bodies, and arbitration proceedings.
• Monitor timelines and ensure compliance with procedural requirements in litigation and dispute resolution.
• Maintain accurate case records, legal opinions, and outcomes.
• Stay updated with legislative changes impacting litigation and compliance.

Eligibility

• LLB degree from a recognized law school.
• 6–8 years of experience in litigation or dispute management.
• At least 2–3 years of in-house legal experience and prior experience in a law firm or advocate’s office.
• Proven track record of managing both civil and criminal litigation.
• Experience handling disputes and IP within a defined budget.
• Strong knowledge of litigation processes and procedures.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with corporate compliance, regulatory frameworks, and risk management.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple ongoing matters and deadlines.
• Proficiency in legal technology tools; experience with the Provakil tool is preferred.
